We worked with a industrial refrigeration company to make a bespoke, removable insulator for blood bank fridges. A little smaller than a 250ml energy drink can we developed a clean, white design from 4mm EVA with Velcro release strips that controlled the temperature of their sensor core perfectly and also provided a location for some extra branding too.
We've used laser etching to give us the opportunity to create branding on all of our bases here at Coolaz - as well as being able to put our website or logo on the base - which is dead space really otherwise - we are also able to cut out custom shaped holes too! Please also take a look at the 'Nuke' Energy Drink concept toward the bottom of the page too for a cool two-colour option..
Fiji Bitter comes in a glass bottle that is much bigger than any common Australian vessel, and our customer wanted a stubby holder that not only fitted them, but also the 330ml premium beers too. Clearly neoprene cannot stretch that far - and would otherwise be too big for the smaller bottles, so we extended our adjustable wrap style so it covered all these sizes. Once prototypes were accepted we created tooling and jigs in house to productionise this solution for our customer.
Our own in-house project that showcases the versatility of our base production methods. The 'stubby torch' uses three layered base - one to protect the electronics from condensation from the cold drink, one to hold the electronics in place and finally a third to cover the electronic molding and leave a window for the torch and switch to poke through. Clearly to make way for these extra bases and the torch we had develop tooling for a stubby holder that was slightly taller than the usual style.
Windowed stubby holders
Our customer wanted a window in their stubby holder so their recipient could visualise liquid levels within - using quick prototyping we rapidly came up with a design that worked - using a polyester window to stop the stubby holder fabric from bloating and looking cheap - and began volume production shortly afterwards.
